Richard has been named to Time magazine's 100 most influential people in the world for his relentless efforts to rid sport of performance-enhancing drugs. Pound was an Olympic finalist at the Games of the XVII Olympiad in Rome in 1960, is a 30-year member of the International Olympic Committee and is a former president of the Canadian Olympic Committee. He is currently the chancellor of McGill University in Montreal.
